I don't know if this is worth posting. While at the S&WCA annual meeting, I had to call my local gunshop to get a copy of an FFL faxed to me at the hotel.
When I talked to Marc, he said he had just taken in a Model 1 1/2 for small money.
I asked him what it would cost to me. $200-$250. Make me an offer, he said.
I told him over the phone I'd take the gun sight unseen. I went to the shop yesterday and picked up the Model 35 that was shipped to me from the Collectors meeting, and also picked up the Antique Marc has held for me since the show.
I'm usually a post WWII collector, so I don't know much about these old guns, except what it says in Roy's book and Jim and Rick's book.
It ended up I gave him an extra $50 for the gentleman who brought in the gun. So it cost me $300 to my house. It's over 140 years old, but doesn't look a day over 120!
How did I do?
