Model 19-3...for $300...How'd I do?

I love some of the self righteous posts.

No one was "swindled"....the guy knew what he had.....he KNEW what he wanted and simply asked for that.

There was no ignorance nor any "education" I could provide to the guy to change his mind.

He knew the value, he still wanted the same amount to get the other gun.

I never knew offering to pay someone what they were asking was such a horrible thing.
 
I don't think you took advantage of him. He asked a price, you paid it. We are not the Value Police. If you were asked what you thought it was worth I assume you would have given him your honest opinion.

Value is subjective. If the shop owner thought it was worth more he would have paid it. He let it walk. That's telling. In some places revolvers just don't sell well. Sure he could have made a profit with an auction but there's costs to that too. It just wasn't worth it too him.

We have a bias in favor of classic revolvers. Not everybody does.
