Model 59 wood grip panels via eBay...thanks dsk!!

I took forum member "dsk"'s lead and ordered a set of nice, wood grip panels from Thailand for my model 59. JaruwanP was the maker/seller of these, and surprisingly, I got them in about 10 days.

I agree these look so much better than the factory panels. I, too had to do a little modifying of the top screw hole in each panel to make them fit right, but it was really no big deal. $31 shipped.

Not bad looking but I'm trying to figure out why they would cut out the right grip for a safety lever when there isn't one. Should be straight across at the top.
 
I expect the right side safety cut out is for use on the second generation x59 as many came with an ambidextrous safety.
