Model 64 - New or Used?

I took your advice. Got a Model 64-3 for about $300 off of GB and added some Altamont grips. What a nice revolver. Very satisfied.

Nice!

I would suggest adding a smooth combat trigger (about $35 on eBay) but that's just my preference.

Very nice! I have a couple of J frames (637 and 642), but this is my first K frame. Really like the feel of it.

If you plan on using vintage holsters go with a used 64. The new ones have a slightly longer barrel that may interfere with seating in some holsters.

Here is my 64-5 DAO. It's not my favorite gun, I don't really have a use for it. It's not a 357 and it's not a 3" barrel. You can't cock it or even adjust the sights. I'll probably just give it away some day.
