I bought a 3" 65-3 marked BRPD (Baton Rouge) on the frame below the cylinder several years ago for $400.00. I thought I overpaid at the time but seeing what these go for now I no longer think that. This revolver is super accurate at 25+ yards. That old war horse has been in and out of a holster so many times it looks almost like a nickel revolver, but it is perfect mechanically and the only way anybody will get it from me is if Jr. stupidly decides to sell it after I take the dirt nap.

I am a friend of the OP. He told me of this gun shop with the $700 65-3 so I went up and bought it. It is unfired in the original box.

The same shop has eight remaining 4inch 65's and 66's for sale at $800 a piece. He originally had 121 Smith and Wesson's that he purchased at an estate sale of a former Wisconsin County District Attorney.

Saw those two, the 13 and 65, sell on GB yesterday...both had K-frame RB Combat stocks on them... The stocks alone are worth a couple hundred dollars...

While I don't shoot the 3" 65 and 66 I have they will be going nowhere waiting for the day the .41s become too much...one needs to plan ahead...

Wow. I got my 3" 65-3 last month with box and papers from my LGS. It is in very good condition and must have come from an estate deal. These guys are usually way over priced on everything but I got it for under $800.
