A recent one: Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Watched it in a theater when it first came out. Watched it again last June on my iPad on a road trip.

Terrific movie.

I think it has come up before here, but one movie I cannot help but watch is The Hunt For Red October. I'm not sure what it is that pulls me in, but it is difficult for me to not watch.

Many other favorites of mine have been mentioned here but one line from Harvey seems evermore relevant to me these days. At one point Judge Gaffney says, "I'm old, but I don't miss much!"

Favorite Movies

Well, it's cold and snowy here around Chicago so I guess it's time to watch Fargo again. A great black comedy. I will watch The Unforgiven, and
Forbidden Planet too if I see they are on somewhere. Willyboy

Anything set in quasi-modern warfare from Napolean (Captain Hornblower) to Gulf War II. WWII in particular, the movies and Documentaries from the 1960's. No CGI remakes please! Rue Paul cannot replace Charleton Heston or Henry Fonda. Midway and World at War may top the list.

I'll just name one:

The Caine Mutiny

I was out sick for two consecutive weeks in the sixth grade (mumps and chicken pox back-to-back :mad:). I had a copy of the novel, which I read the first week. I was so impressed, I read it again the second week. The movie came out a few weeks later, and I thought it was great. I've been watching it whenever I could ever since.
