Just bought a 'carried a lot, shot little' 4046 (probably a former LEO trade in). It had a fair amount of holster wear and being all stainless I decided it was the perfect candidate for a home restoration project. I used a green Scotchbrite pad from the kitchen and in about an hour had amazing results. Its a bit shinier than factory and a bit of 'grain' but not bad at all for a shooter.
The before pics were from the GB add where I bought it, so my after pics don't have the same lighting.
