I carried revovlers on duty for my first two years 1986-1988. I started with a model 13 and then bought a 686. I liked the balance and feel of the K frame better, but the L frame handled those hot Federal 125 grain magnum loads a bit better. I moved on to a 59, 5906, Beretta 92FS, and for the last several years a Glock 17.
For off duty and BUG I carried a model 60. The 60 is now a safe queen, and shot occasionally. I did replace it with a 637.
