Love my M&P 40 but would also love a 9mm barrel as well.

Looking for a stock (S&W), or Storm or Lone Wolf or? Anyone have one for sale, links to buy one, suggestions? Have one on back order from Midway but sensing this will never happen.

Thanks,

Thorne

Sorry can't help. Buddy of mine had his at midway on backorder for a couple months but it did eventually ship if it makes you feel better. I lucked into one on the classifieds section. Just keep your eyes and ears open while you have the midway backorder.

i just got a SL barrel from midway last week. Make sure you get the "conversion" barrel. its sized to be tight when the slide is closed. I have an M&P 9mm also and when i put that barrel in my .40 it has a lot of play

Difference between Storm Lake barrels

What is the difference between a Storm Lake 9mm barrel and a 9mm conversion barrel for a M&P 40 cal?

What is the difference between:
SW-MP-9MM-495-01T-T
and
SW-MP-9MMC-495-01T-T

Mine had lots of play too, gave me FTF, FTE, and other problems. Returned it and bought the KKM, fits tight and shoots great. I bought the conversion barrel and it still didn't fit correctly. When I called SL they said it was because it was the old style barrel.

The factory 9 barrel fits into the 40 slide but there is a little, very little play side to side. The Storm Lake conversion barrel is made to fit the 40 slide the same as the 40 barrel with no play. If you are going with the Storm Lake you might as well get the conversion barrel. I should point out that the 40 to 9 conversion barrel will probably NOT fit in a a 9mm gun.
