Need a new rear sight blade

Hello all.I'm brand new to this site, but not to Smiths. I recently purchased a nice used 39-2, ser. # A154XXX. I took it to the range today and within 7 rounds the rear sight blade sheared off! (never had that happened before!) Oh well...I figured the metal became brittle over time. Can S&W repair a weapon that old? Or does anyone know where I can get a replacement sight blade/assembly?

39 rear sight

I just bought a new rear sight for a 39 from a member here, dang if I can find the post or his name. I do have it on my Outlook and I will forward it to you in a PM. He wanted $20.00 shipped and had two. J
