Need help installing saftey delete plugs Update

I am having difficulty installing the plugs for my safety delete on my m&p 40c I can not get the sbh back in with them in any ideas?

when I was punching the sear block roll pin in they just poped out

Does anyone have any tips on installing the plugs that go where the safety used to come out on the frame??

If I remember right you install them from the top of the frame and slide them into their locations. remember that the plugs come with a right and left.

The SHB is a snug fit, maybe practice fitting it a few times without the plugs. Make sure you've got the trigger bar in the right nook. You should be able to see if the plugs are causing your problem.

Maybe get your SHB started and pop the plugs in once the bottom of the SHB has already cleared that area?

OMG I feel like a fool. I forgot to take the little slide and spring that holds the safety up or down lol. soon as I realized my mistake it slid right in with no issues. I seriously was feeling like a fool haha thanks for the tips guys

Congrats on figuring it out.

I'm surprised you didn't accidentally just knock out that spring and detent because they're just held in there with that spring pressure. Mine came out accidentally when I was putting Apex parts into my M&P that has the safety lever.

When I put my Apex FSS kit in that detente and spring flew out and it took me about 2 hours to find the spring on a dark hardwood floor lol I was pissed lol
