need info on 686 no dash, please

got this at the gunshow and need some info about it. S&W 686 with adjustable front sight as well as the adjustable rear sight.
serial number is AJM19xx. when is she made and what is it called. the pistol is like new with the box and tools.

I couldn't fine the term used but it is considered a premium and according to the S/N it was produced around 1985.

I have the same gun. The first S&W I ever purchased new. In 1987 it was $357, love the front sight I have mine set for 25,50,100,200yrds
Dont see many of them around.
can I ask what you paid?

i shot it today and it shoots like a dream,
man what a deal, a guy has already offered me a custom II kimber for it i used to own and i turned him down.

I believe the pistol was intended for shooting silhouette you got the same sight picture at 25 50 75 100 yards I had a 29 with a 10 5/8" barrel and it was a silhouette model.

i talked to S&W about the pistol and it is indeed a silouhette model from the factory and is a no dash pistol. somebody on one of the forums said all the 686's like this are dash 1's. well this one ain't.
