need to date my new 586

Hey all,just picked up this mint 586 357 mag,Hard to believe this is a used revolver.need to date this bad boy any help would be great,thanx

what i see says "-1"s were only made in '86.

The 586-1 came out in '86, and according to the book yours should be early '87 for DOM.

heys guys,thanx for the wellcome and the info.this is a copy of the same gun i bought in 1982,the only differance was the orignal one i had was nickel,been wanting to replace that old revolver,i shouldnt have ever sold it,but glad i found this one,,thanx again Blue
