Watching the NASCAR truck race today and the roof of one of the trucks blew off, not the result of accident or damage, it just blew off coming down the straightaway. Speculation is that the speed combined with how flat the truck windshields are, that the air pressure crushed the windshield In into it frame that air got over the gap and blew the roof off.

East or West?

It was at the original Fillmore Auditorium, actually located on Fillmore Street in San Francisco. Fillmore West was the subsequent location in San Francisco, on Market Street. I'm not sure why Bill Graham moved it there. Maybe it was a lease issue. Fillmore West was larger than the original Fillmore, but it did not have near the coolness factor.

In noticed the trucks didn't have the passenger side glass and I thought this is a pretty fast.track to have all that air to be able to get into the cab of the truck.

I remember Winterland. Searched for alcohol going in but a cigarette pack full of joints. Didn't need them; Contact High!

Sounds like some creative engineering like Junior Johnson or Smokey Yunick used to do!
