I don't watch the game anymore. I don't even check the scores. Nothing.

I appreciate this rule change and I think it's the right way to handle it. However, until these spoiled brats realize that they are just entertainers and give respect on their own, I choose not to respect them.

I try to separate my self from my disgust with the kneeling and the utter disdain I have for the Bucs which have stunk since they first appeared in the late 70s (except for the Dungee years and the year the next coach took Dungee's team to the SB).

They still stink, but I don't watch them, made it a point NEVER to watch any part of ANY NFL game last year
and am not gonna watch this year.

WAIT-HOLD ON! The Bucs never took a knee!

It was the other teams that took a knee!

And I never watched any of them!

I got it-I despise the kneeling and just don't like the Bucs.

Okay, got my head on straight-don't and won't watch. :D

I had fun the other day.....

...I went to an awards ceremony at my son's high school. The ROTC color guards marched in and posted the flags. They were the crisp model of respect and perfection. WELL DONE.

Then a chorus sang 'The Star Spangled Banner'.

I REALLY enjoyed that. It's something that I don't get to see because I don't go to sports events and even if I did someone would murder 'The Star Spangled Banner'.

I just had a thought. People say, "It's about WAR, it's about WAR". Well it AIN'T about war. It's about DEFENDING your homeland when somebody is trying to take it away from you. I don't think the people that occupied Fort McHenry were thinking about the moralities of war when they were being bombarded.

Knowing that the anthem has several more verses that I only know a very little of, I looked them up, and this is the last verse.

O thus be it ever when freemen shall stand
Between their lov'd home and the war's desolation!
Blest with vict'ry and peace may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the power that hath made and preserv'd us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto – "In God is our trust,"
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

It is what it is....I watch the Packers and always will. I only watch because I love the game and enjoy winning. I can't control a lot of the things that everyone is sour about..and I'am sour too....but I'm watching the Pack and hope others can figure out the rest. It's a different World than I would order if their was a menu....I'm a Christian and forgive the insults....just sayin is all...

Stick a fork in me, I'm done. Bunch of drama queens making millions pushing their agenda for equality. No respect for the country that they are getting rich in.

Two years ago I gave up the Cleveland Browns. The owner has proven to me that he has no intentions of building a winning team. His empty promises at the end of the season remind me of "Free beer tomorrow.

The National Felon League must being running low for attendance and TV watchers. If they don't want to stand then the Canadian football league well sure welcome them. Over paid cry babies.

Really..are you kidding me? No reason to blame the whole league of players for a few that ruin it for all that would never kneel... suppose you could never cast the first stone? It's the World today...good for them to make their millions...I don't care how much you make? I'll watch and learn...education is what it is..listen, watch and learn...not I know it all...good take your ball home and don't play the rest of us that here willing to learn and enjoy life....

Kneeling has nothing to do with disrespecting the flag. The players have First Amendmendment rights and are in a position to call attention to serious grievances. I support whatever they choose to do to make their case. If anything, the owners's bowing to public pressure is more of a reason not to watch, but i like the game and will keep watching nevertheless.

Do not fix on the flag, which is a mere symbol. Pay attention to the underlying issues, which are matters of life and death.

Players have 6+ days each week to protest whatever it is they want to protest. During the for hours or so of a game, they should be respectful. Employers have every right to limit your 1st, 2nd and 4th Amendment rights while you are at work. Players DO NOT have the Right to protest on the field, they never did.

That said, I used to be a die hard football & baseball fan (Raiders & Cubs) Since their Superbowl loss ans subsequent fall into the pits of sucking I have lost interest in the Raiders and the NFL, so no I will not watch. I will continue to watch baseball. They stand for the anthem!
