New non-NFA rapid-fire trigger

***DROOL!!!***

I'll be adding one of the Geissele Super 3 Gun (S3G) Triggers to my YHM AR ASAP! :D

Don't waste your money. There are many reviews on this trigger and the general consensus is that it does not work. Many of the reviews are videos, and no one can get more than two or three shots and it stops. All were testing on AR15s'. One guy compared it to a real full auto gun, a Geissele trigger, and the Tac Con trigger.

Full auto was rapid fast. The Geissele trigger was slower, but close to full auto, considering the trigger was manually pulled for each firing. The Tac Con was poor, and not fast at all. All the testers said that they spent several hours using the Tac Con and could not get the trigger to run bursts, but thought with many hours of more testing, that it might do better, but consistency would always be an issue. They all said you won't likely install the trigger and get results right away, if ever. And forget about using it on a 22LR, as with the low recoil the design would never work.

I have a SlideFire stock, cheaper and very reliable. I can empty a 30 round AR mag in three seconds, and about the same time for the 25 round 15-22 mag. A switch of the SlideFire between different rifles takes under five minutes. Just remove the stock, unscrew the SlideFire grip, and install on another AR style rifle. I can easily control short bursts of 3 to 4 rounds, depending on my finger or forward push of the handguard.

It's my understanding that you need a specific slidefire stock for the m&p 15-22 as opposed to an ar-15. Am as wrong? It seems you use the same stock on both of the different guns. Is that a correct assumption? I ask because it seems they have totally different price points for the two.

Yes you are wrong and no it's not a special stock.

What's likely got you confused is the fact that SlideFire sold a combo kit that included a stock, a trigger and I think a muzzle brake designed to increase the kick as a kit specifically for the 15/22.

At the end of the day, the stock in the kit is identical to the one you buy for the standard AR-15.

I haven't had any issues using the SlideFire on my 15-22. I do modify all my triggers, and my 15-22 has been modified to 3.0 pounds pull, with very minimal take-up and a short reset. The SlideFire works fine with this rifle. I never tried it with the stock trigger. I have seen that SlideFire's kit uses a 3.5 pound trigger , along with a muzzle device that is supposed to increase recoil. I doubt that the muzzle device increases the recoil much, if at all. After all, it is only a 22 LR. It did take a slight learning curve with the 22, compared to the other rifles. I found I was pushing forward too hard. When I started using less forward pressure, the stock worked perfect, basically full auto.

I added an SD3G to my Bushy AR. It is so fast with so little reset that it bumps and burst fires without trying.

As far as my 15-22, I have one of the complete kits that Slidefire sold with the 3.5 trigger and reverse muzzle break. With some grease on the buffer tube and using the CCI AR tactical ammo I get blistering 700/800 rounds per minute firing rate. Everyone at a given range starts hooting and hollering thinking I have gone full auto. I can now mag dump 100% of the time this ammo.

That's pretty sweet. Orgone1, what happens if you remove the break, can you tell a difference? When I'm doing full mag dumps, I can tell a difference with it on or off.

I have never removed the break.

It basically just automatically resets the sear.

We put brakes on our rifles to reduce recoil and muzzle rise. Ours changes the sound to something better by taking that first nasty crack out of the report.
I don't want to break anything on a firearm.
