President Obama’s former campaign website has resurrected itself as a new partisan website dedicated to promoting the President's favorite candidates and causes, including gun control.

Barack Obama

One of the current schemes on this site is an invitation to people to write in their anti-gun personal stories, and I imagine the best ones will be used on TV spots and so on. You can read the hand-picked stories here:

My point in bringing this to your attention is to point out what I have said before. The anti-gun people are better-funded, better organized, more politically smart and more technologically smart than in the past. This isn't just about a vote in Congress. they will use radio, tv and print (and you know the media just loves this stuff anyway) and they will use social networking and any other method they can think of.

We have four more years of the current administration and they are going to do whatever they can to get their agenda in place. The President won’t be running again; he has nothing to lose in this fight and he has made that clear. We cannot underestimate their resolve or the lengths to which they will go. We can all sit around talking about boycotts and whether this law or that is unconstitutional and what some sheriff somewhere said, but we also need to be politically smart and politically active. I would rather see these laws fail up front than worry about trying to deal with them later.

Join the NRA (or whomever you like) and contribute to their political action side; support reasonable political candidates and communicate with your representatives and be careful what you say and how you act. Let’s not feed the beast by appearing to be the stereotype they use to portray pro-gun and pro-Second Amendment people.

We also need to avoid divisiveness among ourselves. We need to support each other even when we differ on details.

I wonder how much of our tax money is being used against us. The
NRA had spent a lot on the elections and it is up to us to help them fight for our 2nd amendment rights. Give all that you can and encourage others to join the NRA also write call and email all of your politicians and tell your friends to do the same .
