Hello all. New to the forum. Just purchased a nice model 19-3 nickel. Had non original rubber hogue monogrips. Went to replace them with original type target stock, and found that someone removed the small stock pin from the bottom of the grip frame to put the rubber grips on. Any one on this forum have an extra one laying around that I could purchase? thanks for your help.

The factory, Brownell's and other sources have them. If you are unsure but handy, you can buy one and make others from the original should you need more. I had about 6 guns that came with the Monogrips and wound up replacing a lot of pins, they tap into the hole with a light hammer pretty easily.

Roll pins won't work, better call S&W and get the right pin. The standerd roll pin is like .005 bigger is diameter. If you use a roll pin, it will force you to drive the roll pin into the frame with geater force than needed, then the grips won't fit because the hole is too small in the wood.

I done this before...

Then I had to order and wait for the proper stock pin and use locktite to hold it in place because I damaged the hole in the frame. What a mess...

Call S&W at 1-800-331-0852 and tell them what you need, If they do like usual, they'll just send it to you.

If they don't have it for any reason, call the man listed below. He and his partner bought ALL of the NOS forged parts from S&W when they switched to mim, and they have about 5 tons of NOS parts. I have had a bunch of interactions with him, and have met him FTF. He is a very nice guy, both to talk with, and deal with.
