Newly announced J frame. 360

Looks like a little shield above the forcing cone to reduce flame cutting. If that has been the norm for a while, please excuse this pair of old eyes that I am using,

.357 version of my Scandium 360J. The light weight is great for carrying around in a jacket pocket but, for me at least, is only an occasional shooter.

Mine is fun with 148gr wadcutters, a handful with 158gr JHPs, painful with 125gr +Ps. I can only imagine what it would feel like shooting any .357 load out of it.

I like the looks but, it's to light for me. It probobly has the lock also. I do like the unfluted cylinder. The price is a little high. Guess I will have to stick with the J-Frames I have.

I see no need for it, as far as I am concerned. It would be much better looking, in my opinion, if it had black stocks to match the revolver.

Someone in R&D probably thought that color grip would look good. Hopefully, that person is no longer employed by S&W.

I don't like the grip color either. Tha style Grip looks ok but, the Pachmyer Compact and the Houge Tamer give more cushion.

PSA had the 38 sp only version of this(fluted cylinder) for under $350 shipped, just last year. Scandium frame 38 sp for that price?
I was going to send it to Pinnacle and have Mark convert it to 9mm.
Sorry I missed the boat on that one.

$770 They have to be nuts IMO. But there will be people that got to have one.
Like I have room to talk after spending $900 for a 627-5 pro. I just had to have an 8 shot revolver. It sits in the safe 99% of the time.

After reading the negative comments above on the new 360, you've convinced me not to buy one. Maybe I'll buy two... I do things like that. Can't keep this J-hound down.;)

I say if you like it you should buy it. I like the 442 that's why I have Two. I carry both of them often.

I love me some J-frame, but for a 357 chambering, give me an all-steel version.
I'm pretty recoil tolerant, but even the steel ones kick like a Missouri mule.
The airweight 38's with standard ammo are almost as stout.
No airweight magnums for this fella, thanks.
But I'm glad they make them for those of you who want one. :D

Good my LGS should have a used one for sale soon at 250. When S&W introduced the new alloy they were quickly traded in for cheap. Too much of a pain in the hand.

Like the gun,
Hate the grips.
If I got one I would swap out those ugly grips and throw them into the drawer!

Please sell me the FDE grips when you do. I LOVE them. Simply an extension of the semi-auto trend of FDE polymer frame and Black Slide. My favorite.

I'm conflicted. The traditionalist in me says FDE on a revolver? Thats like putting a pig on lipstick.

The deeply repressed tactitard in me says *must* *have*.

14oz .357? No thanks.

I'd shoot .357 through it...once, then move to .38 and +P rounds. I'd then have a 637 at nearly twice the price...which is silly.

I'll pass on the air weight 357 magnum...I am neither a sadist or masochist . +P in an air weight is enogh for me .
