Howdy all, this place you have here has been a wonderful resource for doing some research into my next steps of hand-gunnery. ( Is that a word yet?) We have a small collection of rifles, shotguns, and pistols. The guy who does loading for me, for our deer hunting weapons, sold me a S&W 22A, IIRC, and I love that plinker. Another friend got me interested in the medium platform semi-autos again in trying to veer me away from the Gockenspiel that the interwebs seem to have become. I do have a G23, but I believe one Glock is plenty! I prefer the heavy metal in the traditional builds such as the DW .44 CTG I found @ a garage sale. (When you run out of ammo they double as a club or boat anchor, take your pick.) Anyway, the next step I've come to realize is the preservation of traditional crafts like handloading and perhaps gun-smithing as well. I don't see all too many folks under 50 in these fields and I know it is an important part of my/our culture thats needs tending too. Thanks again to the owner here for a great site. Cheers!

Hey gruntsrus - where are you at? (Feel free to email me if you prefer not to publically reveal that: [email protected]).

Howdy Chris, I'm in Janesville. Where're you at?
I feel at home-here, I'll throw another log on the campfire...

Sheboygan.

Based on your forum name - I'm wondering if you are a Jarhead out of Madison? Just a shot in the dark, but I know there's a reserve grunt unit there. FWIW, I'm a fmr. Marine (0311/5811/5821).

Welcome to the forum from another Cheesehead. USAF 1959-63, live north of Madison about 20 miles

Wow! More cheeseheads, cool. I think I might be getting a table for the gun show @ the Masonic Temple in Beloit, 229 West Grand Ave, Sat March 14th, 9-4:30. Anybody wanna do a meet/greet there or at the other show this weekend in the area, on Sunday? Found a 1076 and need to replenish the bank account!

I was with the weekend warriors in the Army Reserve, based out of a Med. unit in Menasha, weekend duty at the VA facility in King, dated a girl from Sheboygan during those days. I do love that Lakeshore Dr. you have there. Are the rainbows running yet?

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Hey, gruntsrus, I grew up in Fayette - home of good ol' UIU. Graduated from there a looong time ago. (67).

Welcome from Texas gruntsrus. Great forum, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.
