OFFICIAL Using Wal-Mart App/Website

Thanks skrewge. Shows Greenville Alabama store has some Win 22lr (limited stock) if anyone is around there.

My local Walmarts seem to be getting ammo about once a week. I scored 3 boxs of 100rd 9mm on Easter morning. Since they signed the new guns laws in my state(CT) I haven't seen ANY ammo coming to Walmart. Its been 2 weeks......nothing. Gets me wondering if corporate said don't send any ammo to CT. I check the app multiple times daily. And have 4 stores within resonable driving range.

Found out from a manager tonight how the stocking system works.
If the website or APP says its in stock or limited, this means that when they scanned the trailer to start their unloading process, the store's inventory automatically updates to reflect what the trailer manifest says is on the trailer itself.

So when it's loaded onto the trailer at the warehouse its billed onto the manifest that's sent to the store. It could (very highly unlikely and not easily achieved) be stolen at the warehouse after it's been scanned onto the trailer.

I've heard from other people who have worked at the store, that they scan everything that comes off the trailer as well. I've also heard that not all stores do this either.

So I don't think the manager I talked to was full of **** or lying, since he told me to grab the lady in sporting goods and tell her that he said to go back and get the ammo I was looking for and anything else and stock it. When I called from home to see if they had the 22lr in stock, he said its showing that we have 2 boxes so I'd come in right now if you can cause it won't be saved for you later.

So it's almost 10pm here And the app says my local Walmart has a "limited stock" of some Winchester 5.56. What's this mean?

It means, more than likely, that your store has at least 1 box of Winchester 5.56 that is either just unloaded off the truck, in their security cage in the storeroom or in the ammo cabinet on the sales floor.

I would run in and check if I was looking for 5.56 myself.

Ill have to see what the app shows in the morning as far is stock status. Are they generally more accurate/updated in the morning?

was watching the app tonight after work and around 8pm it showed mtp and burlington having M22 limited stock. usually mtp puts it out around 7am I believe but at 9pm it showed them both out of stock. I think something is funny going on there.

the website use to tell me if it was in stock and which store within so many miles...now it doesn't tell you if its in stock or whether its in stock in another WM. But my 2 local walmarts seem to only be setting out a handful of boxes at a time....last time i went on a run I got last 3 boxes of 100rd at one and last 3 boxes of 50rd (.45)

I have yet to see anything in stock at any of the stores near me.

I had called Mt.Pleasant around 7pm or so and the guy told me he sold both boxes they got in. He also listed all the other ammo that came off the truck as well and said he still had all of that to stock in cabinet. They stock at irregular times now.

I called Burlington and talked to a manager and he said to come in if I wanted to get any of it. I went in and he sent a lady to the back to go pull any 22lr that they had out on the floor. 1st trip the lady couldn't find any, 2nd trip she only had 2 cases of shotgun shells and said she didn't know if truck was completely unloaded yet (when I asked). I gave up on it, had spent 30mins just on the phone w/Btown store. Someone probably got it.

talked to a buddy's wife at wm last night, she works there all over.
we went over to ask the guy at sporting goods about the ammo and all at once a asst manager showed up and stated that ammo would only be put out at 7am from now on, we will see. someone has been getting it from the back and selling it before they were supposed to.
there was nothing there this morning at 7:15

Heard a WM employee today saying that the APP has caused so much hassle, confusion and headaches for management that WM is going to stop using the system that updates the app. Go figure.

the app didn't work tonight for me

The app hasn't worked for a couple weeks for me. Ever since my first score using it, it hasn't worked once. And that's at at least 5 different stores and countless trips. It's the same thing every time, "even though it shows "on hand" in our system, sometimes it doesn't show up on the truck". It's a lot of BS if you ask me. How can they keep inventory anywhere close to accurate for anything if they "don't know if it will be on the truck or not".

My app has quit working a few times. Apps are prone to this. Delete it and download again. I've had to do this twice for Walmart. Works again.

My app has been working like a charm and I'm starting to learn the patterns of delivery for the local WMs. After seeing a WM about 15 miles from me received ammo yesterday, I predicted that the WM closest to me would have 9mm and 223 delivered today and sure enough they did.

I reaching the point where the only ammo I'm buying now is to replenish what I'm shooting.

The only thing thats causing them headaches is the hoarding of it in the back room for their friends, family and themselves...

When that app shows it IN STOCK in my area I dont care what any employee says. IT WAS UNLOADED OFF THE TRUCK.

And if they are going to kill the app they better unhook the phone too.

Because I will be calling 20 times a day.
