OFFICIAL Using Wal-Mart App/Website

I know some of you still say the app doesn't work but once again I got a decent score. At 4:30pm yesterday the 555 WC and 225 Remington showed to be in stock. When that happens, I know its on the truck and will be put out at 7am. Get to the store at 6am this morning and already 3 ppl there. Well I knew there was 10 boxes of 555 and 20 boxes of 225. Simple math says I'm getting 1 box of 555 and 2 boxes of 225. Well after this nerdy kid passes by and tells us there is no ammo for the 3rd time, here comes all the ammo on a cart. The first 3 guys took each a 3 555 boxes. So I was left 1 555 and got 2 225. The lady rings me up and says "oops I rang u up for 4 boxes and u only have 3". So she takes a box off, rings me up, and I leave. My buddy bought 3 boxes of Remington 225 and our prices were the same. I checked my receipt and the box she took off was the 555 WC. She charge me for 3 boxes of 225 Remington which saved me 14 bucks. I guess it is good Friday.

In the last two weeksI've picked up 3000 rds using the app. It works. My last score was a brick of Rem. Subsonic. It had been showing in stock for 2 days, but was never there when I went. I just kept going every morning to check. On the third day, there it was - 2 bricks. I grabbed both, then gave one to a guy who was late to the party. So even if it saying "in stock" and isn't on the shelf, it is either in the back or on its way.

Also there is about a 2 hour delay before the app will show out of stock. Anytime I buy the last bit, it will show in stock for about another 2 hours.

So just to clarify, when you notice it change from Out of Stock to In Stock or Limited Stock... that means it should be out around the next morning?
So it just means that the truck dropped off the shipment and it's not in real time? Just want to make sure before I start driving, I drove out to a different Walmart and he said none in stock. The app said some in stock and has said that all day. I'm sure they were hiding it for other employees as I heard another employee swing by and ask if he was still holding something for him.

Maybe it wasn't ammo, maybe it was. But it was definitely something people wanted to buy. The employees have an advantage, they can hide ammo and call their friends to pick it up. I've had very bad experiences with Walmart.

From my experience "In Stock" means it is either there or on it's way there. Sometimes, there is a delay, but for me that has only happened once. I usually check the app around midnight. My walmart puts out ammo between 7:00-8:00am. I've heard stories about employees stashing it. I've also heard stories of managers having to lock up the ammo in their offices to keep that from happening.

I think it's going to boil down to Walmart writing names down of everyone buying the ammo and then rationing it out to once a week for each customer. I know I'd do this if I was in charge of it all. All the complaints from every customer (like myself) and the people sitting there waiting on it are just bad.

Earlier this week I watched the poor old Dept Mgr lady wheel out a cart full of ammo to a bunch of people hovering around the cabinet. They literally were 3ft from her cart the whole time, like dogs begging for scraps. I personally would want to scream get the F#$% away and give me some space and quit staring. That was about the crappiest thing I saw this week.

Anyway, just go to the Store Manager, not the Asst.Mgrs and tell them you want to file a complaint with their District Manager and/or the home office.

Tell them that you would like to know how the freight gets logged in-stock, what happens to the ammo once it's unloaded, and when it gets stocked to the shelves. Talk to them about the Walmart App, show them how it works and explain to them your theorys/stories/personal accts, on how the employees and preferred customers are being sold the ammo, leaving you with a bare shelf.

We should come up with solutions to their problem of getting it stocked. Not just yelling/sulking about not getting any.

1. Post times that it gets stocked, when/if they get it and what they received.
2. Have a manager account for the truck's inventory/manifest versus what they have on-hand before it gets stocked.
3. Ask that no Ammo gets sold before it's placed in the ammo cabinet on the sales floor.
4. Ask that management look into who is buying ammo each week with an associate discount. (this might scare some associates there and they might stop using their discount cards at the least).
5. Ask them to not sell any ammo from 9pm to 7am. (don't see this happening).
6. Ask that no associate can buy any ammo during their work shift, regardless if they are on breaks/dinner/lunch etc..
7. Have random stocking times, which sucks, but this will throw off the re-sellers quite a bit.
8. Ask that only Management can physically sell the ammo to a customer. Managers should also ask to see a photo ID as well.

#8 will piss off some management teams BUT it will scare any associates that are buying/hoarding it AND the managers will start seeing regular faces coming in all the time. Plus asking to see a photo ID, the manager will see names like Mr. Badonkadonk who shares the same name as a sales clerk or overnight stocker/unloader.

The Federal and CCI show "Store information not available" for me now. I can only see stock on Winchester stuff.

I just downloaded the app & selected the Wally World I normally go to. I can't figure out how to see their inventory, though. Will someone please help an old muggle out?

Once you select the item, there is a see inventory button.

Is it true they can't sell ammo after 10pm?

Several of the local WMs close their Sporting a goods counters at 10pm.

Ask for the manager, explain the situation (ammo listed in stock) and ask what time they will stock the ammo.

I've been able to obtain ammo this way.

Thanks for the heads-up about the M22 limited stock. I still think employees are taking it at my local walmart. The app has worked for me and I was able to help my brother score with it too. My closest walmart (Christown for those in the phx area) has a limit of no more than 1 box of 1 caliber and only 3 boxes total. It sure does make it rough but at least it gives better odds to those who go.

I was not aiming my comments on the truhful folks on here, I was merely making an observation...I can't even buy 1000 rounds...very frustrating to say the least and I refuse to pay the scammers on GB their outragous prices. I do shoot alot, unfortunately, if I can't even replace what I am shooting, then I am out of luck. I find it hard to believe that someone is shooting 10k rounds a month in the dead of winter, but oh well.

Not shooting anywhere near 10K/month but having 10K in reserve has kept me away from all this hubbub.

Well I tried it and it is pretty much a waste of time as there are 30,000 other guys monitoring the app. I'm sorry but my life can't revolve around the pursuit of ammo.

I posted this in another Walmart posting.

I've been using the WW app for the past 2 weeks every day - morning, noon, and night - for 38, 45, and 357 and nothing in stock and nothing changed. I was in the Warren PA one yesterday for some groceries and I stopped in just for fun, looking in the glass cabinet I see a lot of empty space, one box of Tula 45, some rifle and shotgun ammo. The kid asked me what I was looking for, I said 45, 357, 38, 22 and he pointed to the only box of Tula, I left that for someone else.
Got any 22 anything?
Not a single box.
Do you have any 38's?
He reached under the counter and put one box of Winchester white box "target" 130gr FMJ on the counter.
Can I have more?
Nope, one box per customer.
I took it and left.
As I walked away I looked at the Walmart app again and it shows no 38's in stock......

Very frustrating times...

22 and 9 mm just showed up today. I'm going there with full intention of getting 22. I'm going to ask if he has any if he says no ill show him the app. We will see how it goes

Walmart's online app no longer works for me. I now get a message that no store information is available.

Restart your phone.

And I'm 100% sure there is a lady buying 22 under the table. She is always there when they put it out and lets people go in front of her but always seems happy. I have a few friends that work there and will be asking. I did however FINALLY get one box of golden bullets. Also got 2 9mm boxes

Edit. Sure enough my friend went to get 9mm and saw the lady pull out a 555 box from behind the counter for a guy. Time to get corporate involved at my store.

I've been monitoring the app since January after a close friend who managed a superstore for years turned me on to it soon after the crunch set in and explained how it functioned. Until it went viral I did very good (January to mid-March) with it. Was monitoring some 11 stores within a 50 mile radius.

The app was always spot on until recently. And even then, some 9mm and .22 was not being brought out between the 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. time slots that they were scheduled. The trucks come in during the night and it shows up as limited stock (less than 1 case) or in stock ( 1 or more cases) when it reaches the store warehouse. If it doesn't come out when it is supposed to be stocked, something has happened to it within the store.

If you don't see it and the app shows it in stock after the time it is supposed to be brought out, make the clerk run the lot number. If they refuse or give you a runaround, go to customer service and present the lot number to them and request the manager if necessary.

I've found some stores to be straight up and bring the inventory posted and I've found others that weren't. Especially with .22 cal. it is too lucrative not to have some shady things going on.

I've got no dog in this hunt. Did alright before many others caught on and I'm not selling anything anyway, but all I can say is that up until the past two weeks this app worked for me every time at the honest stores where the manager had personal control. I found that one store has much ammo that is still unaccounted for and management assured me that some heads will roll as soon as they gather enough evidence.

When you show up for the time when the ammo is to be brought out, and the app shows its there, I will reiterate, make them run the lot number. They have to. If there is a problem, go to customer service. You can use your smart phone to download the numbers on the shelf even if it is not on that shelf.

With the great disparity existing between Walmart's prices and the profits that can be made by rolling it over, you should be able to see what can happen. Its too enticing right now to not get corrupt and caught up in a ready made opportunity.

On the flip side, if you are fortunate to be dealing with a store that is stringent about its rules for employees and customers, show your support and stand behind them. Put in a good word to management about the associates working the sporting goods department. They are dealing with people who are literally camping out in the sporting goods aisle all night in some cases.

These are truly historic times we're living in right now. I've taken photos of the lines at Walmart and Gander Mountain to pass on to my grandkids as a lesson.

Lets learn that lesson or else we will continually be fools at the mercy of others. Just be glad this isn't something vitally essential at the moment or, looking at what's happening here, you'll need the gun and the ammo to get it... and that may still happen yet if things don't straighten up real quick in this country. Things have change since the 1930's and not for the better.

OK, I've tested this app for approximately two weeks and it does work. There are some different things that need to all come together, timing, luck, persistance and Walmart employees that are willing to help and actually go in the back to look for what you're there for. I have also encountered the unwilling employees and I'm not one to be combative or confrontive with these particular individuals.

Between the hours of 7:00 last night and 7:15 this morning at three different stores my husband and I were able to score 2,999 rounds of 22 lr. Two 1,000 M22 Winchester's that the employees had to retrieve and 3 333 Winchester packs that were just being brought out this morning. This was after a long dry spell of nothing in stock anywhere in our area. Seeing 9mm in the cabinet just waiting on someone tells me that things may be improving in general. Definitely looking forward to a lot of target practice over the next several months. Good luck and happy hunting!

Personally, not something I would brag about.

If anyone here cares to, I would like to know the upc or item numbers of the stuff walmart carries that doesn't show up on the Walmart App. There is quite a bit of ammo that doesn't show on there.

Earlier tonight Tennreb posted that we should ask the clerks to run the lot numbers to see if it's indeed in-stock or not.

By lot number, I assume he means Item number which you can find in the description part on the app. UPC number however I can't see that on my app anywhere.

However I know Walmart sells Federal brand 22lr but it doesn't show on my app at all. Anyone know the UPC or Item number for it?

For some reason Federal quit showing up in the app a few days ago. UPC codes can be found if you look at the website (full site, not mobile). But, since I'm standing right in front of the case:

325 count: 0002946505735

550 count: 2946505674

You may have to add the leading zeroes to the front of the second number, that's how they appear online.
