OFFICIAL Using Wal-Mart App/Website

Yeah its called BrassMaxx but any way you spell it, its not on there yet

So there was this guy on Monday who complained to Walmart's home office that they wouldn't sell him 3 boxes each of Winchester 555ct to both him, his wife and his mother (who works there). There was 9 of us or more waiting for the ammo to come out and we all pretty much wanted some.

The dept mgr lady asked a member of mgmt if she could limit to 1 box per person cause a lot of people have been wanting 22lr. Management there backed her up on the idea and helped her unload the cart of ammo.

He even then tried to get full bricks of Federal 22lr that wasn't opened up yet to be sold on shelf as 50rd packs. Management was quickly told by a shopper that it was to be sold individually and not as a brick. He wasn't happy about that but still told his mom to buy 2 small boxes of it.

So between the 3 of them, using the app and info from his walmart mom, they got 4 remington 225 ct boxes, 3 Winchester 555 cts and 2 Federal 50cts. He still wasn't satisfied and contacted their home office to complain.

Now he's selling/trading it on a gun site on facebook. Trying to trade for silver, video games or whatever.

This guy is a tool.

What an idiot....

Wal mart needs to change the box policy so you can only get 1 box of the 500-1000 round bricks of 22LR, 2 of anything thats 100 round value packs or stuff like the 225 Remingtons, and keep the 3 box limit on anything 50ct....

All I keep getting from the WMs around here is "sorry, the website and app don't match actual store inventory". I know that's a crock because WM supposedly prides themselves on their inventory system. I deliver products to Walmarts almost every day, and I've seen first hand how they have to inventory every single item that comes in and goes out. (For example: if a box of 200 identical DVDs come in, they have to scan each DVD separately.) If I have to pick up a damaged item that doesn't have a upc on it, I have to run out to the shelf and find an identical item to SCAN, they can't even punch the number in. Everything is logged into the computer. Something is going on around here. I understand that occasionally mistakes pop up, but for the last couple weeks new ammo has been popping in and out of stock on the app and website and I have yet to see ANY of it on my local WM shelves.
Sorry for the rant, but it's just frustrating me!

MaxSheridan I suggest you call talk to the Store Manager and explain this problem. If he tells you that the App is always incorrect ask him for the number for someone to talk to at the Home Office. The store gets a report of what comes off the truck for sporting goods and what ammo is on it. Ask him sometime to check it out.

My local WM got in a bunch of .22, but it was the 50 ct. Lightning packs. I guess it will last on the shelves a little longer. I could have used more than 150 rounds though. At least it should get spread around to more shooters that way.

The other day I found 50 count boxes at academy. Limited to only one box. Could be worse :)

Corrupt stores

I have 3 walmarts I visit in my area and all 3 are bad news. They lie to customers, sell to friends/family, stash ammo. I just started writing to all 3 store managers, outlining various abuses I have caught them in. The app really help nail these associates. Even the SG manger at at least 1 store is in on the scam.

The only way to correct this is to complain to the store managers an if that doesn't help, move on to corporate and complain. I was going to do nothing, but the more I thought about it something needs to be done.

Here is a link to a great new site for checking walmart ammo status. Go get the ammo, and complain when you can't get it!!! Lets get rid of all the bad associates that are scamming the public and contributing to the Internet vultures reselling the ammo you can't get at a fair price.

Check out. www.wallyfinder.com updated every 1-2hours just click on your state.

Go get'em.

Over the last couple days, I was able to pick up 450 rounds of 22LR, 600 rounds of 9mm and 100 rounds of 38spl. The app. helped me locate the ammo. I did find something interesting today. I stopped in at one of the Walmarts today because it showed the Federal 100rd boxes of 9mm in stock. I got there about 9:30 and there were none on the shelf. I asked if they had any in stock, she said I was the third person to ask. She also said they hadn't sold any today. I told her about the app. and she went back and looked and found a case that had not been brought out. I bought my three and another guy came along and bought two. Another store in the area has had three 100rd boxes of 9mm shown to be in stock for several months even though they can't be found. The first store I hit today has gotten two shipments of 9mm recently while other stores haven't gotten any. There is no rhyme or reason to this.

Imagine that a case that just happen to be overlooked...

Amazing how the worlds largest retailer cant accurately show when something is in stock, and stuff gets forgotten and left is the stock room when its time to restock the shelves...

Amazing I tell you....

what really burns me is I am looking for 22LR for myself and couple buddies to shoot ours selves when the weather gets warmer. I am not nor will I sell any I have on Gunbr$ker to make a killing which it seems I know for a fact several people buying from a couple local WM's are only buying it for that reason :(
I am also positive there is some funny bussiness going on at a couple near me.
I for one think they should raise the limit to 4 boxes BUT, have a notepad at the ammo desk that you have to sign and show your ID, and be allowed to only buy that much each week, once you get 4 and your name is on it for that week you are done

I've filed complaints on 2 occasions for Mt. Pleasant. They stock at odd hours (allowing them to call friends when it is stocked) and will blatantly lie to you sometimes. If you filed a complaint through corporate they would know it is a well-known issue not just one disgruntled customer.

Hello everyone, thanks for all the help finding 22LR in this thread. I just wanted to pass along some things I learned.

The walmart iphone app showed quite a bit of 22lr in the south Florida area. There are walmart stores all over the place. I choose the one located in Hallandale, Florida listing Federal Ammunition 22LR 36gr Copper Plated, 550ct as in stock.

When I got to the store the first thing I did go to the customer service counter and ask for a stock check. The lady at the counter told me I would need to wait for a manager!!

After the manager got there and did the stock check she confirmed there were 10 boxes of Federal Ammunition 22LR 36gr Copper Plated, 550ct showing in stock and we headed to the sporting goods counter. Once there it was obvious the ammo case was empty and the employee with the key was nowhere in sight. Aftef a few minutes we found him and he "confirmed" there was no 22LR ammo in stock.

The manager told me “corporate does not want us selling so much ammo, and they make us show overstocks so more ammo won’t come in stock”

I find it strange to believe this is really how the worlds largest retailer operates. Do you think they put stuff on their inventory that they don’t have so they won’t get restocked? Do they regularly loose all kinds of inventory that is normally kept under lock and key?

What do you think?

^ the above story from the manager sounds like Bull#$%@ ^

I would ask to speak with the Store Mgr and not the assistant manager. If you hear the same thing ask for a phone number and email address for their District Manager and the home office.
Get number/address for each. Ask for the store peoples names you talked to as well.

Contact their bosses and get a what's what of how things are stocked/ordered there and how you're wasting gas money and time using applications/websites that Walmart puts out to help you find what you need, only to be told they are misleading you on purpose.

WHOAAAA!!!!

Take it easy there buddy! The ammo will come eventually... No need to do anything RASH!! :p

Lol I read it that way too. Think what? haha well we will see what happens at my walmart tomorrow and saturday. 2 weeks of coming in and just this tuesday I was told they get their shipments of ammo wednesday and saturday. Nothing wednesday. So we will see what happens saturday...

btw yesterday I went to a walmart on the other side of town. It said out of stock but they had 9mm. Only catch was it was $40 a box. F that. Idk if they were hallow point or what but I passed.

O M G !!! HOLD THE PHONE!

I just did my three time daily search of every Walmart within 100 miles and I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!

There is a WM only 54 miles away that shows IN STOCK Winchester 555 boxes of .22!!!

I fell right out of my office chair.... I'm thinking of feeding the wife and kids supper and running over there to buy a box.

I used the Wal Mart app to pick up another Win 555 pack today along with 100 rounds of 9mm to go with the new SR9c I finally found today for an awesome price!

What a great day! :D
