older I get the smaller the gun gets

I'm more concerned with barrel length and powder charge. I don't have the strength or the eyes to shoot a pistol at long distance so I don't need a pistol with over a 4 in. barrel. I prefer even shorter than 4 in. because they carry better and I can still hit the side of a barn at 50 ft. I still load 15 grs. of 2400 for .357M but I'm down to 9 grs. of Unique in .44M.
In the future I may forget the center fires and go to .22s. :D Larry

I can't remember when I last had anything heavier than a Commander on my belt. As for the N-frames, I still have nice holsters for them, but they don't get used. I like to shoot the guns, but I have no interest in walking around with one anymore.

I'm always a bit amazed that people will talk up higher and higher ammunition capacity in weapons meant for concealed carry, but never mention the weight of such guns. A fully-loaded M&P in 9mm or .40 SW is a bit of a chunk. Ditto the SIG 229, which is a real brick, IMO. :D There's no free lunch.

3 in 1911 in the warmer months. Winter is a 1911 commander with 5 in barrel, or lately a Glock 19 in modified overalls pocket. So maybe getting bigger as i age, which is as likely as growing my hair back.

J frame (steel) everyday. If it feels like my day might bring me close to a large urban area that changes to a 3 inch K or a BHP. Sometimes both.

Shakeout, you will love the 631. I bought one around 91 when they came out, carried it, loved it but it broke recently. It is at the Doctor's and I am awaiting the prognosis.

I am less than three years shy of eighty and like previous posters my carry gun has gotten smaller. The P238 is my pocket gun and I recently gave in to the striker fired P365 and it's growing on me. I carry the P238 in a horsehide pocket holster and I got one for the P365 but it's a little big for the pocket and as someone said in earlier post with a full mag its kinda heavy but easy to carry on the belt.

I'm 56. My first carry gun was a CZ75B then a 4006. they were the same size but the 4006 was lighter. after that a 6906, an M&P9, an M&P40 (that belonged to G4S and I suppose belongs to Allied Universal now). Then a Glock 19.

that's about as small as I intend to go

Recently picked up a 2.75 inch M69. With a proper holster, Big Foot Belt and suspenders it is comfortable. Weighs nearly the same as a 4 inch HB Model 10. It does kick a bit. Meant as a woods walking companion but may carry more often.

I'm downsized to a Springfield Armory Hellcat with a red dot. Old eyes made open irons too confusing as to which glasses to wear.
