oooh that has got to hurt

Tree work is very dangerous even for the groundsmen who know what they’re doing.

Get well asap.

I'm comparing Tree trimmers, to construction workers, nevertheless their work is much the same. I’d like to respectfully offer my candid opinion of "groundsmen, that know what they're doing." I base my opinion on many years’ experiences as a journeyman electrician. Experienced Ground workers, don’t wait, at the foot of a work ladder.

The strenuous work, tending a worker on a ladder, isn’t usually coveted. Usually it'assigned by supervisors, because of that worker's superior skills or by workers that are afraid of heights, poorly skilled, or being punished. The title of such a worker is the ‘Grunt’. In any case, their work is really appreciated by the ladder man.

Being employed as an industrial electrician, higher voltages are encountered. It is common, dangerous, and ofttimes lethal. At some time, sometime often, in an industrial electrician’s career, they’ll get a serious jolt of electricity. Nothing has hurt me worse than a full jolt of 3phase, 480 60cycle AC electricity. It’s likened to being hit all over your body at the same time, with a ball bat. Your muscles contract so severely that you are sore, and distressed, for a week. It teaches a valuable lesson, and leaves a lasting impression.
