open carry rules????

North carolina prohibits concealed carry in banks. Open carry in banks is legal, but probably not a good idea. Here is how my concealed carry course instructor put it:

"Can you carry concealed in a bank? No."

"Can you carry open in a bank? Yes."

"SHOULD you carry open in a bank? HELL NO!!"

I am a concealed carry course instructor and I disagree with your guy, extremely! any gun is better than no gun, and having a gun does not make you a target. you find me as many cases as you can where someone was targeted specifically because they were carrying, and I'll find cases where they were targeted for not. we'll see who finds the most.

He didn't mean that it wasn't a good idea because it makes you a target. He meant that some jittery anti-gun teller is liable to push the alarm button when you come strolling in.
