Pay No Attention to That Cat Inside a Box

Those of us who remember the comic strip Gordo remember that Gordo and his nephew had a cat named Poosey-gato.
There was a discussion that they had taken all the furniture out of the living room and placed a postage stamp in the middle of the floor.
Poosey-gato went to sleep on it.

Not sure how (or why) they do it...
If it's not a box, then just about any old enclosure or, in this case, basket.

Our son sent us a nice fruit and cheese basket for Christmas, and we leave it on the counter for the two cats to argue over who get's to curl up in it...
