Thanks Grinder,
Can you give me a little info on each? I know the 1 & 3 o'clock are 1st gen. and 7 o'clock is Mk3. What about the other three? I seem to remember the PC shop coming out with a Shorty 40 Tactical, is that the gun at 9 o'clock? I remember seeing a pic of a 2000 on the B/S forum it looked similar to the 11 o'clock gun.

How many different series are there for the Shorty. Great collection!!

Cheers,
Sam

Sam,
Starting at 1 Oclock= First Gen first variety (small bushing)
First gen third variety with '93 upgrades (wide barrel hood/ slide and blue H/T)
MKIII (blue) with Hogues
MKIIIS
Recon40
SH40 2000

I just realized my second generation MKII and first gen second variety isn't in the pic

I do have to upgrade my collection pics

Thanks for the intfo grinder. That helps alot, is there a version between the MkIII and the 2000?

Cheers,
Sam

Is there something wrong w/ me? All of these PC guns are perfect! I have 4 PC pieces which I shoot on a regular basis and this thread is making me feel guilty. My Shorty 45 travels w/ me, my K-Comp is by the bed, and my 845 and 627 V-Comp go to the range w/ me. Are they now so collectible that I should treat them as safe queens? Thoughts?

Only one of the above is a safe queen; the others get shot to varying degrees. But you're right in that I don't carry them, so I suppose that does help them stay looking new.

I do carry my 1st generation gun rather extensively. I don't however spend the money on a nice firearm and put it in a $2 holster. I tend to buy nice leather for all of my guns, but most specifically my PC pistols. Mitch Rosen provides the horse hide for my Shorty. It was bought some time ago when ARG meant Ayoob Rear Gaurd. Now it has been renamed American Rear Gaurd, this happend in honor of the people that lost their lives in the 9/11 attack on NY.

I also spend a great amount of time in the maintenance of all the guns that I carry.

Cheers,
Sam

Nice trio Bob, I seem to remember certain Mark 3 40s to be blued as well as stainless. Am I remembering correctly or just getting senile?

It looks almost identical to my 2nd gen except for the blued extractor and adjustable sites.

Cheers,
Sam
Yes, you remember correctly; there were blued versions of the Shorty 40.

The pistols in this thread need to be revisited, they are just too pretty to not get a bump.

Maybe there are a couple of new PC pistol owners that want to share photos.

Cheers,
Sam
