Can anyone give me the formula for determining front sight blade correction height on a handgun? My 16-4 shoots two inches height with the rear sight all the way down. Thanks for any help you can provide. Tom

With adjustable sights corrections are always made on the rear sight, never the front! This is why S&W makes rear sight slides (blades) in several heights. Buy the next lower rear sight slide kit, probably .126" and install it. Simplest is call S&W Customer Service, 800-331-0852. While there are other sources you will get original S&W parts from all of them and S&W usually doesn't charge shipping that will be several dollars from anywhere else. Be sure to order 2 each springs and plungers. I will guarantee you will lose these the first time you change a rear slght, and they are not included in the sight kit for some reason.

READ the instructions that come with the sight kit closely and follow exactly. A center punch or small screwdriver can be used to stake the windage nut.
