Just got back from shooting the M&P 10. It is a little cold and the wind is blowing at 30 mph gust. Had to nail down the target.
Last night I loaded 10 rounds with CFE-223 and Hornady 150gr fmjbt bullets , to try out. The gun has a new Redfield Revenge 4x13 x 42mm scope freshly mounted. I shot the ten rounds at approximately 50 yards, standing , leaning on a deck rail. I held on the center red dot. I did not adjust the scope. This was just a "test" . With the wind and the fact that this was a new load, in a gun with a scope that has not been zeroed in, I am pleased with the grouping. When the weather brakes, I will be able to finish our 100 yard range backstop and do a lot more testing. So far the S&W 10 has not disappointed me at all.

No it is not the Amax. It is the Hornady 30 Caliber (308 Diameter) 150 Grain Full Metal Jacket Boat Tail with Cannelure .
Ordered them from Midway. They seem to fly pretty straight and load easy.:D

Because I was asked, the holes you see covered up were 30 rounds of 223 shot earlier.

very nice going to take mine out tomorrow for some 50 yard shooting. Working on a load that the M&P 10 and my mossberg MVP both like. I have been using 165 grain bullets so far and 2230 for powder.

Thusfar my results with the 308 and the 223 have been reversed from your pic! I am working on ammo, but not there yet.

BTW, Is there sig in your screen name MasterTech? I cannot make out the car in the pic.

The 223 shoots tight too. The target was when I was shooting pretty fast. I get much better groups out of it when I am more deliberate and slow. :D It is hard not to go fast at times.
My Screen name comes as a result of being a ASE certified Mechanic since I was 18 years old. The back is getting a little sore. :( The car is a 1969 Camaro SS . I restored it and brought it back from the dead. It is one of my Toys.

That's cool, we prolly have a lot in common. ASE will probably send me a 30 yr Master placard next time. I don't work on cars for leisure. But I could show you some pics of a couple airplanes I have brought back from the dead!

I may have been AR before AR was cool, because I still have my "79 model Colt SP1.

I recently renovated it with a skinny freefloat and a red dot mount on top! What a soft shooter! Nothing like a rifle length 20!

Cheers,

Cheers,

I got the 25 year one . Waiting to see if they send out a 35 year one as it is due. I happen to love watching air airplanes take off and land. I am easy to amuse. Don't like to fly as much , but still do. :o
