Polarized Sun Glasses

I spent $7 for a pair of Berkley fishing polarized sunglasses and they fit, feel and work just fine. To me a $150 pair of glasses would be a waste of $143.

I've had all of those mentioned above,but I've found Costa Del Mars to be superior,at least to my eyes.

I get the fishing glasses from walmart... berkley or renegade, they are less than $15 and are great.

The wife just bought me a pair of RayBans for my birthday,$179.00 Fantastic vision,relaxing to use,everything is crystal clear and subdues the sun no strain at all on the eyes.

The amber or brown lens is really good in inshore water that isn't clear blue.

+1 and I like them for off shore as well, and also shooting.

Try Costco. They have usually have several big name brands, including Ray Ban and Maui Jim, for a fraction of what you would pay elsewhere.

I'm personally partial to the Maui Jim glasses but they are normally way out of my price range. However, I picked up a nice pair of wire "flexon" frames and grey lenses for $99.00 about 2 years ago. They are my favorite pair.

Hi Senoir C.

I think if you are looking for Glare cutting eye protection lens color wont matter much and just about any of the glasses recomended here would serve you well.
If seeing below the surface of the water is important to you my experience agrees with others here the a brown/bronze lens will serve you better and still give you good glare reduction /eye protection.
I have the Ray-ban Greys hanging in the Jeep for driving and they are a great pair of glasses but they don't preform as well looking below the surface of water as even a cheap pair of brown/bronze polycarbs.
I'm not sure what your needs are exactly but as a life long flyfisherman I am covinced as some of the others here that the brown/bronze lens will allow you to see more below the surface.

Costco, Kirkland brand, they are made in Italy I think, maybe by Ray Ban or someone else, $29(or maybe $39) and they look good to as well

I prefer my old Rayban Ambermatics and other Ray Bans, I also have noticed with Polorized I cant see my GPS worth a darn

Sunglass Hut or any of the mall places will rape you on price, if your going to get spendy glass just go to a good Optical Store

in all my years on the salt water I have really never used or like polorized glasses....but for finding my turtles in the pond they work great

Landpimp; That's because your GPS screen is also Polarized. Just turn your head 90 Degrees one way or the other and you'll be fine!!!

A tad late here, but maybe I can help, as I'm in the optical biz. First, there is a definate difference in the quality of the optics between a $15 pair and a $200 pair.

Raybans are in fact a great value. Most of their polorized are glass lenses, and will be marked with a "P" on the lens. They have a back side anti reflective treatment which is very nice feature to have.

MauiJims, Revo's, and Costa's are all premium brands, and all good.

Color is a personal choice. Brown/amber is excellent for sight fishing (golf, and lower light) because it filters more blue light, thus increasing contrast. Greens will pop with these on. Grey filters all wavelengths equally, so all colors will look true.

A good pair, like anything, is an investment and will last for years.

I prefer the brown lenses for driving, golf, and fishing and buy most of mine at Bass Pro Shop. I bought a nice pair from a local saltwater fishing shop but they blew off of my head going 60mph in a bass boat once. None of mine cost more than $35.

I've been satisfied with FLYING FISHERMAN sunglasses for years. Got my 1st pair from Bass Pro Shop but buy online now.
