Police Story

So what is your point?

Again, no law exists LEOs cannot
change cars if they wish. Obviously
you didn't see the entire chase or
you would have seen the exchange
of vehicles.

so they exchanged vehicles while driving thru the dirt lot. the car that ran toward the bad guys car was a 74 pontiac and 2 seconds later they get out of a wrecked ford????sorry uncle ed...

So I am watching an episode of Police Story...two cops driving a 74 pontiac lemans....chase scene comes on and mid chase they are driving a chevy caprice...a mile later they enter an upaved lot to cut off the bad guys and are back in the 74 lemans...they ram the side of the bad guys car, and get out to look at the damage, and the damaged squad car they get out of is a 67 ford galaxie...that's a first for me....

It sounds like the Continuity Director was asleep at the switch. A Continuity Director is supposed to make sure that everything remains the same for multiple shootings of a scene.

I remember seeing Daisy Duke driving in what was a continuous car chase and she was wearing two different tops!

You're not supposed to notice that. ;)

I was watching an episode of Then Came Bronson recently where he was supposed to be riding his Harley Sportster on a single-track trail off road. The bike they showed was a smoking 2-stroke dirt bike, over which they had dubbed a Harley V-twin sound. I guess I wasn't supposed to notice that either.

I remember that from 50 years ago, not recently. :)

Compared to movies, TV shows have much tighter budgets and cut corners where they can.

The worst TV show I've seen do this is "Mysteries at the Museum. About a month ago it was telling the story of Sgt. Alvin York and his Medal of Honor. The Americans with York in the trenches were carrying M1 carbines and Garands, and when York captured more than a hundred Germans, he was carrying a muzzle loading musket.

I always liked the bullets that sparked when they hit something, still looking for some to try.Almost forgot about the revolvers that never need reloaded.

Or, how bout a 1911 that runs dry after 12-13 rounds and the shooter keeps pulling the trigger and getting "click" click" "click"...... gotta love it...

Who cares at that they were different tops…I am sure both were tied off above her navel and using the minimal amount of buttons. ;)

Seemed to be a background continuity between episodes. I vaguely remember the "shooting board" going over use of deadly force by officers on more than one episode. That same cold-eyed officer was always the principal investigator. Would have hated to be interrogated by him. Anyone know that actor's name?

If you watch the Rockford Files. Jim changes Firebirds from '74 to '75 to '76 in many episodes. Still a great show.

Y'all do realize Hollywood types think the typical American viewer is stupid.

Since so many here know so much
about the failings of the shows cited,
I guess the movie/TV producers are
spot on. They were popular shows and
YA'LL watched them.

Same-same Smokey and the Bandit. The police cars morphed from Pontiacs to Mopars and back again in the same chases. Yeah, I know, it's only a movie.

It always irked me that Vince Carter was always addressed as Sergeant instead of Gunny in "Gomer Pyle, USMC".

Sounds like you were focused on her top! :)

My Para Ordinance P14 LDA does that.
