Prayer Request For Rusty's Daughter

An update....

The ortho put Lindsey's leg and foot in a non-walking hard cast today. She has broken bones and tendon damage. In two weeks they will X-Ray it to see if it is healing on its own. If it is she will have to wear the cast for an additional 10 weeks. If it isn't healing they will operate to repair the tendons and pin the bones and she will have to wear a cast for 8-10 weeks.

She is miserable. They prescribed her a Pringles can full of Norco .5's.

re the claim. She has full coverage with GEICO. The other driver who was cited at fault also has full coverage with GEICO. Ruthie has a cousin who is a PC and a cousin who is a FC. Both advised Lindsey to contact a lawyer and they referred her to one they both trust. She has retained him.

Now we wait.

Thanks again for the kind responses.

Wow.

All things considered, glad she is "okay" relatively speaking.

My wife, she's a Lindsey also, just had tendon transplant surgery on her ankle after falling down the stairs. Extended time in a cast, etc.

That kind of recovery is tough. You feel "healthy" but have to rely on others for simple day to day assistance.

I will keep her in my thoughts......the road to recovery is often a bumpy one.

Prayers and thoughts for your Lindsey.

How's for an update?

Thanks for asking, Brad.

Lindsey is still in a non-walking cast and it looks like she will be for another 3 to 4 weeks. She will have to go through physical therapy to be able to walk without a cane or brace. She will eventually have to wear a stiff soled shoe to be able to distribute the force applied to a brake pedal. She had a lot of damage done to her foot and her gait will never be the same.

Thankfully the pain has lessened.

The good news is that this 2018 Kia Forte with 30K on the odometer is awaiting her.
