Prayer request

Matthew, I will pray for you and your family, for strength and persistence and anticipation of a good outcome. I know what it is like to receive a cancer diagnosis. It knocks the pins out from under you and scares you to death. Your reaction is completely understandable, and I'm here to tell you that things WILL get better. Between the treatments available today, and your own positive attitude when the going is tough (like it is at the start, I know), you WILL overcome this. In time, you will look back and see how far you've come, and will be so grateful for your doctors and your family and your own strength you might not even know you have. In the meantime, talk to those who love you about what you're feeling and going through. It helps a lot to share it.

Godspeed to you on a journey that nobody would choose to take, but as long as it is in front of you, stride purposefully forward and with hope and determination. We'll be here for you while you do, and will be pulling hard for you, pal.

Oh Mg, I am so sadden to hear this news. Prayers sent. I feel all will be fine, I just know it will my friend.

I just want to second Joe's sorrow that you are having to fight this fight brother, I know you're always faithful to share your pray requests with your brothers and sisters here on the S & W forum, we have another brother in Northern Il that is fighting that fight as well, well ole billy is just South of you, if ya need anything, I will ask for special prayers for you tomorrow at worship, I know some of the others stress a positive attitude, and I'm not trying to steal their thunder, it is wonderfully helpful, but as a brother in the Lord, honestly, I would be broken, but I will always trust the Lord, as I am trusting Him now for your healing. bro bax

Hang in there! Have your doctors said anything about progress so far? Prayers continue.

Prayers still heading your way, Matthew. One step at a time, mate. I found that when dealing with my own treatment (wasn't chemo, which isn't used for the type I had) staying "in the moment" with my disease was helpful in dealing with it. My doc encouraged me to concentrate on the here and now, to not get ahead of myself, and to find the joy in each day for its own uniqueness.

What's to come, will come. Focus on how you're feeling now, and doing what you need to be doing today. Kinda like aiming at a daily bullseye and watching your front sight...breathing...and pressing the trigger...

Pulling for you!:)

timn8er:As a matter of fact i had a meeting with my cancer doctor last monday and he said my red and white blood cells are good and that overall my treatment is working well and is fighting my cancer very well.

That's wonderful news--long may it continue!

Good news mg. Continue the fight. We're humbly here to keep the positive thoughts and prayers coming your way.
