Contrary to above, I hope the other LEO's were terrible shots, and had to
use ALL their ammo.
To the rest of the officer's here, I hope they get a better deployment
arrangement soonest.

An officer from the Walker Police Department was killed today while trying to lay out stop sticks on the highway. The Police were in pursuit of two bank robbers who were shooting at them as they drove. As the officer tried to set the stop sticks in place, the suspects swerved to hit him. He died at the scene. The impact caused them to lose control and they ended up off the road where a gun battle ensued. Thankfully, no other LEO's were injured. The perps however were both killed in the gun battle. Hope they felt every shot and they hurt like the place they'll spend eternity.

Officer Trevor Slot had a wife and two very young daughters.

Almighty God, we asked that You lift up the family of our slain brother in arms. We also request You surround them with Your comfort and peace. We ask this for the men and women that will carry on with his memory to perform the duties they have chosen.

We humbly request that a band of angels be sent to guide the soul of our fallen brother and lead him to that place reserved for those that have fallen in the line of duty.

Prayers sent. It seems like there has been an increase of officers killed deploying stop sticks lately. I think that as in this case these POSs are targeting the officers. I don't know if this something going around in the prisons that is being discussed. And when they get out they are putting it into use. Maybe one of the COs on here can shed some light on this.
