Prettiest singers of the 1970's...

David and Shaun Cassidy were pretty too.

What? Nobody specified "female"

Olivia Newton John, I think in her presence I would be (for once) speechless. Think of her and her outfit in the final scenes of Grease.

The shoot for the finale was complicated with a lot of people and she was sewed into those black stretch pants and said that after a few hours she was ready to 'go' but the director was too busy to call a break.

PS I just watched that scene. WHOE!!!!!!!!!! Dum da dum da dum da.............

True, but there's worse from the 70s floating around. Not that I can think of any offhand, but I'm sure there's worse.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mark Hamill, Ozzie Osbourne, Stephen Tyler, Keith Richards. Note that I did not include a picture of myself from the 70s, the early part of which I was scoring points in running and pole vault. Got married in '78 and became 'contented'.:(:eek:

'You don't have to be a star, baby, to be in my world...'

Marilyn was absolutely beautiful, and her vocals carried the group through most of their years. "If I Could Reach You" was a great song.

Now you have gone and twanged my heartstrings, Charlie.

Petula Clark got an early mention.
I remember her one afternoon on the Mike Douglas show, fetchingly clad in a little off the shoulder floral print silk with nothing under it but Petula.

Susan Jacks...forgot about her. View her young photos from the 1970's...Beverly Bremers was quite the looker, too. Karen Carpenter had such soulful eyes before she became sick with anorexia..if this was a 60's thread, would have added Judith Durham of the Seekers...little squirt with a lovely voice.

Back in the days of projecting rock and roll concerts, I saw, or met, a lot of the above mentioned women. I do remember the 70's, it's the 60's I have trouble recalling. Put me down for another vote for Ronstadt. Class act, except when she was with Moonbeam Brown. I know too much about a couple of the others. Joan Jett, Melanie, Grace Slick, . The flat out nicest Star I ever worked shows for is another that didn't get her props for being good-lookin'-- Loretta Lynn. Nicest woman ever.

Saw Linda R and The Stone Ponies in '68. She came out on stage barefoot. First real live hippy I ever saw. Lived a sheltered life out in the boonies.
But Stevie Nix was my fav fantasy even after voice left.

My old friend John -retired from the AF and went to work for Purdue Airlines.
At that time, they operated the Playboy Bunny DC-9.
John could hardly wait to get a chance to fly it!
When he finally flew it, he did meet Barbie.
And he really didn't like her! Not even a little.
