Does anyone have any idea what is causing the primer shortage? Small pistol primers are about impossible to get from any of my usual sources such as Powder Valley or Midway. I contacted both places only to be told that they had no idea when they would be able to get primers back in stock. My own guess is hording by worried individuals about the new administration.

That would also be my guess. Called all 3 or 4 of the big shops today in Denver( Bass pro, Sportsman's warehouse, and even Gander Mtn) couldn't find a can of H110 anywhere. Got the same answer you did, "Don't know when we'll get it"

We are in a combination "crunch" right now. High demand by fears of the new Administration and a war is on. This same thing happened in WW II and the Korean war. You just need to get your order in "SOME PLACE" and wait a bit.

So many people are panic buying and hording. Ammo, brass, bullets, powder, guns. There are no AR's or AKs around here Even Wal Marts can not keep anything in stock. They get some ammo and one or two individuals buy it all.

It's like when we have a hurricane warning around here. The shelves are stripped of water , batteries, bread , gas and gas cans etc.
