PROUD on where your from! Ever notice?

Of North Carolina and Virginia heritage.
Lived the vast majority of my life in NC..

(Except for that ugly blue from Chapel Hill)

I Love calling North Carolina home..

Born and raised in Detroit Michigan, the Motor City. Also referred to as
" The Murder City".
I can go just about anywhere in the world and people will know where i'm from. And they usually leave me alone.

My state sux...........You should all be proud and thank your lucky stars you don't have to live in Illinois........Land of high taxes, bad roads ,and crooks.........Don't get me wrong my little town is awsome...just that everything around it stinks.....

i was born and raised in illinois and when my time comes im going to be buried in illinois even though there some things about this state that are not so good.

Hey - I'm from IN --- Gary, to be exact --- And I resemble that remark ;)
I did BCT at Knox and learned really fast to tell guys I was from the Chicago area.

EVERY TIME!
Where you from?
Gary Indiana
Please don't kill me

I spent a year in Gary one month in the 80's. ;-)

Politically being from Illinois you have one advantage the rest of us don't. You are not expected to stop voting once your dead and your vote counts just as much after you've died. ;D

My father was a Nixon voter and has been dead for more than twenty years, but I'll bet he voted for Obama. As a matter of fact, I haven't lived in Chicago for more than twenty years, and I may have voted for Obama there...

And you are probably right.

Eastern Kentucky here. Born and still living in the same location. After 72 years here I expect to die here. There are worse places to live. We are called hillbillies but who cares.

Hey Caj, what's the big deal about Edwards? He comes from a "long"(pun!) line of Louisiana politicians, who are like the proverbial dog's hind leg. Like we say here in Texas about LBJ. Well, at least he was OUR son of a ------. I have been ashamed of a few things in my life, but being a Texan, ain't one of them.

This is very interesting. So far, it seems most from the midwest or eastern states think it sucks for them, myself included. Those from Texas and points east and south of Kentucky like there location. Hmmm, maybe the southern boys are right after all. :D I know those southern belles sure do look and sound fine to me. ;)

He probably thinks that just cause he pulled the switch for Nixon he voted for him. Isn't that where Kennedy won the Presidency in 1960.

And yes Texas you can thank us Tennesseans.

I am from wisconsin. Well, almost oregon. Mom got pregnant with me in oregon, but dad got called back to wisconsin as the country was gearing up for war. Think I have lived and worked in another 9 states since leaveing home. Yes, I have noticed differances in people generaly speaking depending on the area.
The biggest misconception from my view is california. The rest of the country are quite open about hateing californians. First of all, when I first lived and worked there it was rare to actualy find someone who was actualy born there! Everyone I knew was from somewhere else!
How many times have you heard people complain "it was nice here untill the californians discovered it"! My wife is one of the very few people I know that was actualy born in california! And she was from a hay ranch, not the city.
Sorry, but when I worked in lousianna and texas for two different 6 month stretchs, I noticed bragging, downright lieing and BSing was carried to and admired as a fine art. Might of been just my luck of the draw and being made to hire people for a hard minimum wage job.
West virginnia was a interesting place to work, and I was lucky to get out alive.
I think my best workers were in wisconsin and northern michigan. Definetly not down south but that all was close to 50 years ago.
As far as politics go like in california and probley elsewhere you got to remember that the big citys control the people in the country. That really is the answer to a lot of these stupid observations we sometimes have.

Something funny about certian people being extremely proud on where there from. If you have been in the service you know what Iam saying. I find it funny.. Example... people from Texas and another... people from West Virginia.. Sorry that's " West Virginia by God".. I 've found that people from Texas will fight if you make too much fun of there state. Iam from Indiana...see it dont bother me at all.

Brother, if I had learned spelling and grammar like yours, I'd be ashamed to be from Indiana.

And people talk bad about the education here in the South.

BTW, it's West-by-God-Virginia.

Y'all haven't succeeded at anything yet???? What makes you think you can succeed when you secede?
