Quick question please, Yes or No response

The boy asked to confide in you and you directed him to someone else. That right there tells me your first instinct was to stay out of it. Smart.

If you turn around and tell the parents something that is based merely on conjecture and surmise, what would the boy think of you then? You would have to be nuts to do that.

If you thought the nineteen year old daughter of some very dear friends had married her nineteen year old boyfriend (all parents are best friends) would you mention it or just let it go?

If you don't admit you made a mistake by asking here for help after reading the 81 misguided uninformed replies here, there's truly no way to help you . .

Let's assume that there is excrement in the punchbowl. The odds of being blamed for putting it there when you point it out are way too high in my experience. Run away from this. Nothing will good will happen if you open your yap.

The only exception is you have good reason to believe that one of them is truly dangerous to the other ... and you will still have to be careful in how you approach the matter. Mere stupidity? No to the zillionth power.
