Random Object Photographs

That's hard to answer, they just aren't available from normal sources. They are just listed as "temporarily unavailable".

Outside places like auction sites and such, the sky is the limit. I've seen asking prices from $10 to $100 each...

I've never bought or worn any so I have no idea as to their cost. :D

Here's a piece of history for you. In Bisbee, Arizona, there stands an old hotel that's been continually operating since the turn of the 20th Century. It's the Copper Queen Hotel, and ghosts of the past still roam there. Just ask me, I know from personal experience.

At any rate, there are numerous artifacts still there that have historic significance. On the second floor mezzanine there is a table - pretty standard round table of 1940s-1950s vintage.

It's been maintained there since way back. You see, John Wayne and Lee Marvin used to play cards there in the wee hours during motion picture filming in the area. Few know its history or the table's reason for being there. Just a treasured but inconspicuous memento.

This is a view of the barracks area of Fort McHenry, near Baltimore. As you probably know, Francis Scott Key wrote "The star spangled banner" from a ship in the harbor as the British were bombarding the fort. The Star Spangled Banner yet waves there, in the exact same position as the original. It does not amuse me in the least that some people see our flag as a symbol of oppression, and actively disrespect all that it stands for and the men and women who lost their lives for it.

I was proud to have visited there.

I grew up there, went down to the Fort many times, watched Tall Ships sailing past it from the seawall during the1976 Bicentennial Tall Ships event.
The British, at the time having the most powerful army and navy in the world, were stopped cold by the boys from Baltimore there and on land just southeast of there after burning Washington DC just a couple of weeks before.
It's a well preserved artifact; I'm glad you had a chance to see it that way, as it might change.
I just heard on the news that BLM tore down a Francis Scott Key statue somewhere in California. I don't understand.

Something a little different. This is a "photograph" taken in game on the driving sim I blow off steam with. A Porsche 911 964 3.8 RS being driven on the old Nordschleife in Germany, also known as the Ring, or the Green Hell.
Go watch this vid for some good training on driving the course by watching a world class driver (Hans Stuck) going full-boogie for a full lap of the 'Ring:
hans stuck bmw nurburgring drifting - Bing video
It's one of the best race driving vids I've ever seen, because the in-car camera stays fixed on what the driver sees, not turning this and that way like so many in-car vids do just as you get into the driver's seat in your mind . There is also a PiP so you can see how busy the driver is controlling his car near the limits of adhesion.

You might want to turn up your sound and go full screen for full effect.

Carlos "El Pibe" Valderrama #10

I admired him when I was a kid, watching the FIFA Soccer World Cup in 1990... I would have never imagined following him on Instagram some 30 years later.... he even liked it :) :o :D
