Random Object Photographs

From the fishing trip yesterday. Ian spotted a bird struggling in the water that couldn't get airborne. He netted it and fed it fish bait.

One of the crew held it while they headed back to the dock. It sat on the grass for a while, recovered and flew away. It made a great day better.

In a previous post, I've written about Burg Eltz, the 900 year-old German castle that is in original condition, and has been occupied by the Eltz family for 33 generations.

These are photos from the museum at Burg Eltz...

Was pushing my cart through the Walmart Neighborhood Market.
Glance over at the Oriental hot sauces.
See a familiar name but it’s not usual in this group.
Has anybody tried it?

Polar frame, by Dmitry Kokh, Russia
When Kokh’s boat approached the small island of Kolyuchin in the Russian High Arctic, which had been abandoned by humans since 1992, he was surprised to spot movement in one of the houses. Binoculars revealed polar bears – more than 20 in total – exploring the ghost town. Dmitry used a low-noise drone to document them.
