I omitted Milo, my gf's neighbours' mercurial black cat. Half charmer, half thug. Climbs over the fence daily to lurk and steal food (despite being well fed at home.)
I'm back in Japan for a while. Yesterday we were in Tokyo, walking to my wife's medical appointment, and came across this house:
You see this occasionally, a single ramshackle home in a neighborhood of high-rises, glass and steel. Typically it is a cranky old codger (or codgerette) who wants to stay in his house and who does not care how much money real estate developers offer him to leave. I kinda admire these guys, and find their homes interesting.
