Random Object Photographs

This is a beautiful 1953 Chevrolet Corvette - one of the first Corvettes ever made. Powered by a "Blue Flame" in-line six cylinder engine.

When these first came out, I was too young to drive, and way too young to afford one, but I sure did lust after one!

Looks like the rock was originally sediment (sand), in which pebbles were embedded. Now all turned to stone and worn away by the elements over eons of time.

I recently watched a show where they dated the furthest reach of a glacier by dating the lichen ( similar to yours)
growing on the rocks of the moraine field.
They used the same lichen growing on headstones to determine how fast it grew. Smart, the date is written right on it!
