Social Distancing Oregon Coast Style

Contrary to popular belief, not all beaches in Oregon are off-limits. So today I went to one of my favorite places- Oceanside, about fifty miles south of here, to do some beachcombing. I hardly had to share the beach with anyone. Apparently, everyone is under the impression that all beaches are closed, and I'm certainly not going to start blabbing otherwise. Well, except here, of course. In the second photo, you can see a bunch of sea lions sunning themselves on a rock. And, I found a big handful of agates.

The start of another beautiful day right here in Sam Stowe Canyon.
The low this morning was 12° and we're already up to a brisk 16°. ;)[/QUOT62E]

Nice TC!
I currently have a '94 TC and a 2000 Continental.
My 3rd & 4th Lincolns

325k on the TC, 139k on the Conti. Both in excellent condition. I bought the TC 3 years ago from the original owner.

Thank you. It took me quite a while to find it.

That give me lots of miles to look forward to. Mine's a 2007 with 76,000 miles. It has a few scrapes and bruises. :)

I bought mine back in Feb, I guess I'm the forth owner.

Originally purchased in Dec 2006 in Henderson NV by a lady.
She kept it until April 2019 when the title was transferred into her son's name and he traded it in Dec 2019.
Always serviced by the selling dealer. They even put the new Michelin tires on it right before she parted with it.

I bought it in Las Vegas and trailered it back home.

Its actually very practical and a great road car.

Great pictures and I'm glad that you're getting out and enjoy the day.

This is Scorpion Gulch, located south of Phoenix on the trail up to the South Mountains. It was an old watering hole that was abandoned and subsequently deteriorated. The City restored some of the crumbling remains to prevent accidents. Today, it's a sad remnant of Phoenix's past.

I've had over 45 vehicles at last count.
Here are 2 of my favorites. No, I'm not a MOPAR freak, these 2 just happened to be great vehicles.

1962 Dodge D 200 crew cab, AF surplus. 225 slant six. The thing was a beast! My firewood and landscaping truck in Az. Only had 41k miles on it when I bought it. I put another 40k on it.
I towed it behind a U Haul from Az to Md. when I moved.
Top pic is at the old farm I bought in Md. Bottom pic is in Flagstaff. That little kid is now 37!

1965 Plymouth Satellite conv. One of only 1860 produced. 318 engine.
Red interior. Bought it in De. when I owned a plastics business there. Drove it to Az when I moved, then drove it back to Md when I moved again.

Top pic is at our NJ beach house we bought the 1st time we were in in De.
Bottom pic is at Md house tgexsecond time we moved back. Its got a for sale sign in the window.
Drove that car for 5 years and sold it for more than I had in it.

I probably had more fun in my 1962 Beetle than the others.
I bought it late my Sr year in HS. That was my '62 Galaxie too.

I've had a handful of cars over the years too.
In my younger days I was really hard on them. :D

At this point it was pretty close to the end of its life.
I had this '62 a 63, 64, 65 and a 61 bus.

Not too long after my 62 Galaxie was at about the end of its life too.
This was 1974. I was working in a Texaco service station.
We still had one full service island and we still washed all your windows, checked you oil and tire pressure.
The owner loved doing that while I spent most of my time in the service bays.
That was my first job working as a mechanic, at 19 years old.
It took me an hour to talk my boss into letting me replace a camshaft with a couple of flat lobes in a customers 1967 Impala with a 396.
He just thought I was too young to do that kind of engine work.

And my '57 Fairlane only lasted three weeks.

The fastest car I had was this 1969 Camaro with a very healthy 427. It wasn't pretty but it ran really nice. ;)

While my 69 Camaro was my Friday night State Street car I also had this 1970 Torino GT.
It came with the 300 hp 351C that I built up using mostly 351 CJ internals and Shelby externals.

Now I drive a old geezer's car. :D

Yep, its a slow afternoon. ;)

Another car. I don't have a pics if too many of vehicles, most were bought and sold too fast. The only reason I have a shot of this was for the insurance.
Had this beautiful 1996 Silver Spur III as a boat car for a few years.
The accident happened in a parking garage in Florida.
A stoned valet was racing a brand new Bently up while we were going down. He plowed right into us.
The garage was shared by the marina and the condo, so it was private property. The condo did pay for the damages but they said the the valet was they're best guy so they wouldn't fire him!
An aside: try telling your insurance agent that your Rolls just got creamed by a Bently! :D
