This bonsai tree, currently housed in the U.S. National Arboretum in Washington, D.C, was planted in 1625, it's 398 years old and survived the bombing of Hiroshima, still growing today.

She's a lucky girl to be able to ride/be around real horses. As much as I would have loved doing that my only horse was a wooden stick...his name Buck.

This painting called The Old Mexican has been in my possession about 28 years and my wife’s family for 30 years before that. It is painted on a 18” metal plate which looks hand made. I’ve tried to find out anything about the artist but I can’t make out the signature. It is pretty old as you can see by the writing on the back. The realistic detail of The Old Mexican just amazes me. The piece of paper on the back side has never been touched since it was given to Auntie Usery in the late 40’s. I read that date to be before 1944.

Barrel racing
In a previous life I was a pro photographer. I captured this image at the Steel City Classic, Western PA years ago. I shot with a Mamiya medium format camera with motor drive. Mamiya Sekor fixed focal length 135 mm lens. Off hand. I miss those days.
