Bullard VTL I fixed back in 90s.
I ran a Dynatrol, a Man-au-trol, and a 36” “kick” Bullard when I was in my late teens. Worked my way up through the ranks and retired as a Manager after a 38+ year career. I look back on it fondly now but at the time it was back breaking work.

Pretty tough machines. This one was reassembled by idiots after a relocation using silicone sealant which broke off clogging oil pump. Ruined main bearing and outer bearing which costs close to $100K back in 90s. Took over a month to replace and correctly set bearing “ backlash”. All loose silicone sealant had to be removed which was done by some other maint. people. What a job. IIRC the table weighed close to 4 tons.

A glass "bottom" boat taken to the extreme.

When she isn't photographing hummingbirds or working in her garden, also uses a large Epson scanner for creative work. But she has found that her two "magnificats", Izzie & Charlie, who have graced these pages frrom time to time, have decided that the scanner is a perfect place to nap, esp. since it has a hooded frame (to cut out extraneous light when scanning.) Today the urge to scan has been kyboshed ("catboshed"?) by both cats, presumably in an attempt to defy the Pauli Exclusion Principle.Scanner cats.jpg
