Rear Sight Slide measurement

How do I measure the height of the rear sight slide. I need to order a replacement and want to be sure. Is it the amount protruding above the rear sight base or is it the height of the slide including the hidden portion. I believe it to be the latter.

It is the height of the blade, not the height of the exposed portion of the blade.

If you're looking for one of the older plain black (not white outline) blades, give me a shout . . . I have some in most heights.

Adjust the windage as far as it will go so the base extends out past the side of the sight. It should be enough to measure the blade as shown above. Don't screw it too far, you can shear the windage screw, ( which you will have to do to replace the blade).
