The Reg Mag serial is not correct, should be 48470, I will have to contact Mr Jinks to find out what is going on.

Model of 1926 #41257 shipped 5-21-1932 to Wolfe and Klar Company in Fort Worth, TX. Blue with 5 inch barrel. Stocks are correct but not original.

This triplelock #6565 shipped 11-2-1915 to Lee Hardware Company in Salina, KS. It was likely refinished in July, 1945. The 5 inch barrel is correct. Original stocks are long gone.

I was very pleased that all these retained the original barrels. The letters took about 2 months.

The 4.5" barrel seems like such an odd size yet it appears there were actually a fair number made with that length. I wonder why?

I love the 1926 but those stocks would beat my hand to death.

Very nice Pre-War Smiths.

S.P., If I'm reading you correctly, you're right about the grip being potentially troublesome - on both the 1926 and the triplelock. Notice how high (or low - as the case may be) these grips are in relation to the the lower edge of the cylinder compared to those on the RM. The magnas on the RM at least give you a little girth up higher on the frame where the web of your hand rests. Regards, Jerry

With the serial number, where did you get the two numbers? Which one came from Roy? Where did the other one come from.

Roy does not always check serial numbers on RMs. He did not do so on mine. It is much easier for him to look things up by registration number than by serial number, and apparently the serial number does not appear on the registration number records, at least not all the time.

48470 is the one I supplied. 56057 was in the letter, the guy must have lots numbers to deal with, it's not surprising that a wrong one would sneak in.

It's absolutely impossible for Reg # 1139 to be serial-numbered in the 56XXX range. You oughta' get Roy to correct the letter, he's always happy to straighten out any typos. Plus, it would be interesting to see if 48470 and 56057 share the same configuration.
