Received my 586 back from the factory

I never got a call or anything that it was shipped. I just got the signature required delivery notice on the door

I sent in 2 pistols at 2 different times last year to S&W and on both occasions I never got a email or any form of contact from S&W stating that they were sent out. by sheer coincidence I was home when Fedex made a surprise appearance at my front door at 6pm.

I worked at S&W from 1971 to 1980, started in the welding dept, went to fitting room then to customer service and restored many antiques. I've seen a 44 mag with the top half of the cyl blown apart and the top strap of the frame missing all because the owner was shooting HOT loads. We replaced frame and cyl all for N/C. You can't beat that for customer service. I've seen a lot more examples of Redneck engineering that was covered at N/C too.

That was all with a far different company that what S&W is today.
