First of all, the manufacturer doesn't have to justify anything to you. They have to justify the product's existence and its claimed advantages in the marketplace.

Sure they do. They're trying to get me to spend money on it. The customer is the judge and jury, and just look at the thread. All of us here aren't interested, and you are. Have you bought any? Even if you had, that's a pretty lousy market share.

But since you ask for one, the "justification" of stronger cases could be that once they exist guns can then be built capable of the higher performance that can come from exploiting the higher pressures a more durable case permits.

So...develop a whole line of new cartridges? GL with that.
